HOCKEY-Second Tie for USA and Ireland

For the second consecutive day, the USA U-21 team played to a 2-2 tie vs. the Irish squad, which is a mix of U-21 select players and senior squad players.  The game was played a bit differently than the first match against the Irish, as USA got on the boards first with a goal scored by Rhian Jones.  Jones took a pass from Jill Witmer following a great run by Witmer.  Ireland scored a tying goal to end the half with a tie, 1-1.
The Irish came out in the second half and scored the go ahead goal within the first five minutes off of a scramble, to put them up 2 -1.  USA came from behind again for the second day in a row to tie it up around the 16:00 mark.  Ali McEvoy threw an aerial over the defense to Witmer, who challenged the Irish goaltender. With the ball popping off of the goalie, Laura Gebhart picked up the loose ball and put in the equalizer to end the scoring at 2-2.
